About the Kusīnārā journal
Kusīnārā: An International Journal of Pāli and Indic Studies is a biannual, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to exploring and disseminating the rich heritage of Pāli and Indic traditions supported by Kusīnārā Jīvaka Trust, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Named after the sacred site where the Buddha entered Mahāparinibbāna, the journal aspires to illuminate the timeless wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings and their relevance in the modern world.
It serves as a platform for rigorous scholarship, fostering a deeper understanding of Pāli language, philosophy, and culture while bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary academic pursuits. Dr. Vikas Singh, an accomplished scholar of Pāli, Sanskrit and Indic traditions, leads the journal.
